A Visual Storyteller
Visual artist Julian Alister James (JJ) enjoys working with new media technology. He began his artistic adventure with photography and has since gained skills in filmmaking, as well as commercial and creative 3D projection mapping. He came up with the name Anandamide Visuals to represent his visual art endeavors. Because of his highly organized (personal) upbringing, he enjoys giving every project he undertakes a name. He established F-stop Studio in 2012.
Julian has spent a lot of time practicing and learning about many artistic techniques throughout the years. This journey has led him to uncover one of his deep interests: understanding and executing light art. He accomplishes this using tools like live interactive visuals, LED sculpture, and 3D projection mapping. His latest collaboration with Nepali rock band "Albatross" is totally captured using only sensors and features real-time interactive visuals, a method that has never been employed in Nepali video production.
